What Your First Visit Will Be Like
You’re welcome to come, check it out, and participate at your own pace.
Arrive & Welcome
We meet every Sunday in the Travelers Rest High School auditorium.
At Legacy Hills, we engage people where they are, and we invite people in. We want you to experience that from the moment you arrive.
You’ll see parking signs and flags along with our Parking Team ready to point you in the right direction and make finding your way easy. As you approach the entrance, look for our Welcome Tent out front.
If it’s your first time, we’d love for you to stop by and say hello! Our team will be there to welcome you, answer any questions, and help you know exactly where to go.
Have Kids?
Our vision is to see a legacy of disciples made in every generation, from the foothills to the nations. We believe the future of the Church is directly connected to how intentionally we disciple the next generation today.
On Sunday mornings, Legacy Hills Kids gather in the gym for age-appropriate worship and time in God’s Word with leaders who are passionate about making Jesus known to the next generation. Our desire is more than providing childcare—we want to partner with families to help kids know Jesus, love His Word, and grow as His disciples.
A few things to know:
- Ages: We have age-appropriate classes for kids from birth-5th grade.
- Safety: Our leaders are background-checked and trained volunteers.
- Check-in: When you arrive, stop by the Welcome Tent out front. Our team will be happy to point you in the right direction.
Singing & Teaching
At Legacy Hills, we believe the Bible is the Truth, so everything we do when we gather is built on the truth of God’s Word.
You can expect passionate worship that makes much of Jesus and expository, Bible-centered preaching that helps you understand God’s Word and apply it to your everyday life.
At the end of every gathering, we’ll always create space to respond to what God is doing. That may look like prayer, taking a next step, or simply spending a few moments with Jesus.
We don’t want to manufacture a moment, we want to make room for the Spirit to move.
Your Next Step
We believe the way we worship God on Sunday is directly connected to the way we pursue Him the rest of the week. Following Jesus doesn’t stop when the service ends.
At Legacy Hills, we pursue growth in groups. Growth Groups meet throughout the Upstate and create a place for you to open your Bible and open your life, as you grow in your love for Jesus and your love for others alongside people pursuing Jesus just like you.
We also believe we are sent to give and to go. When the gathering is over, the mission continues. We live on mission in the everyday moments of everyday life as we give our lives to grow His Kingdom wherever He sends us.
Before you leave, stop by Next Steps after the service. We’d love to meet you, answer your questions, and help you discover your next step at Legacy Hills.
Questions You Might Be Asking
If you’re visiting for the first time, these are a few common questions.
What should I wear, and where do I go when I arrive?
Wear whatever makes you comfortable. You’ll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to the occasional suit—we truly don’t have a dress code. When you get here, look for the Welcome Tent out front. Our team is happy to welcome you, answer any questions and help you know exactly where to go.
Is my child going to be safe and have a good time?
Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. All of our volunteers undergo background checks and safety training before stepping into a classroom. We use a secure check-in system to ensure only you can pick up your child. Beyond safety, our team is passionate about helping kids know Jesus, love His Word, and grow as His disciples.
What if I’m not sure what I believe yet?
You are exactly who we had in mind when we started this church. Legacy Hills is a place where you can belong before you believe. We take the Bible seriously, but we welcome big questions and honest doubts. You won’t be singled out or pressured; you’re free to explore, respond, and ask questions at your own pace.
How long is the service, and what is it like?
Our services usually last about 75 minutes. You can expect passionate worship that makes much of Jesus, expository and Bible-centered preaching that helps you understand God’s Word and apply it to everyday life.
At the end of every gathering, we’ll always create space to respond to what God is doing. That may look like prayer, taking a next step, or simply spending a few moments with Jesus. We aim for a welcoming and joyful environment that invites you into the hope, joy, and transformation found in Jesus.
